To Add Insult to Injury!

In the further adventures into ZipCloud - I called their Customer Service again and spoke to another woman with very poor English speaking skills and asked for a refund, explaining that I have entrusted her firm with all of my precious memories and files - and now I'm dissatisfied with their service because they've lost all of my files and can't recover them. Her reply was "I'm sorry but we can only refund money within the 30 day time limit" I couldn't help but laugh out loud, Really?

I've now learned two very important lessons: Never to put all of my eggs into one basket and Never, Never, Ever trust an on-line media storage service again! I've come away with a very bad taste in my pallet.

Buyer Beware!

Both ZipCloud and Carbonite online storage sites are no more than a elaborate scam to take your hard earned cash and pocket it into their deep Corporate Pockets.

As if I would ever learn; First with Carbonite and now with ZipCloud, I've lost irreplaceable photographs of my long departed Parents and Grandparents, artwork, files, etc. all because I trusted my treasures with these bastards.

In the latest adventure, I inadvertently deleted the ZipCloud folder from my desktop. No problem, I thought until I went to restore my lost folder (which contained everything I hold dear to me), only a minute bit of data was recovered but 85% is lost in a big black hole, never to be recovered again. Upon telephoning I was greeted by a poor English speaking woman who insisted the technical department had no telephone in their department. I then e-mailed ZipCloud only to find out there is a two hour delay in conversations on e-mail (What, are these Assholes on the Moon or something?). Well after three days of going back and forth, they announce that they are sorry about my loss and that they are aware of the problem (Not being able to recover lost folders from their website) and that they were going to fix the bug. However, since they are into storing data and not reclaiming data the fix would take some time. "Really!!!!!!?.........Are you kidding me!!!!?" What kind of Chuck-Wagon Outfit is this? - I though to myself. I not only lost memories when I was a child but hard earned money in their subscription SCAM!

Well, I set out on a Crusade to write articles, reviews, anything I can do to WARN PEOPLE not to trust their valuable memories and files to these Assholes!

The Flagship Texas after a Catastrophic Fire in June 2013
A catastrophic fire breaks out in the Galley of a Sight-Seeing Boat on Lake Travis; cause, an outdoor BBQ Grill/Smoker is brought indoors to cook food. Even though the smoke was vented out, the heat and probable flare-ups set the whole boat afire!
All it takes a slip of Common Sense to ruin your day as it did here. Any open fire aboard a boat is a dangerous mix and potential accident ready to happen.
         Stay Alert, Stay Safe!
